Simon & Schuster Australia is thrilled to announce the world rights acquisition for a four-book romantasy series by Alexandria Warwick. The deal was brokered by Anthea Bariamis, Associate Publisher of Fiction and Audio.

The first book in the series, The North Wind, was spotted by Anthea when it gained considerable momentum on TikTok, with over 7 million views and counting. Anthea says, ‘I’m totally thrilled to be publishing this decadent, captivating series and bringing it to readers across the world. Alexandria is extraordinarily talented and her elegant blend of mythology and fairytale has resulted in a mystical setting that leaves readers completely enthralled. I can’t wait for readers to meet the four winds!’

Alexandria, who lives in Florida and is a classically trained and performing violinist, commented: ‘I am thrilled to make a home at Simon & Schuster Australia. The North Wind is a lush romantic fantasy novel in the vein of Beauty and the Beast and the myth of Hades and Persephone. Beloved by readers on TikTok, it is the first novel in a series of four romantic fantasy novels, all inspired by a blend of mythology and fairytales.

Simon & Schuster Australia will publish The North Wind in May 2024 in a joint publication with Simon & Schuster UK, who will release the series alongside Australia. Book two, The West Wind, will follow later in 2024, with books three and four to appear in 2025.

Simon & Schuster Australia has already sold publication rights to: USA (Saga Press), Spain (Anaya), French (Univers Poche), Portugal (Leya) and Poland (Foksal).
