About The Book
Jojo can’t wait to spend the night in her very own bed in her very own room. She doesn’t care what her big sister Margaret says, she’s NOT afraid and she WON’T be back to the bedroom they used to share.
There’s just one problem though—there are intruders in her new room! A lion, a bear, and a very persistent tiger seem to think this is THEIR room, not Jojo’s. Is Margaret right? Is Jojo not quite ready to spend the night on her own? Or can Jojo find a way to show that trespassing tiger just who’s boss in HER room?
About The Illustrator
Alexandria Neonakis lives in Santa Monica, California with her boyfriend and two cats. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, an eastern maritime province where she spent most of her time outdoors in the beautiful coastal Atlantic and forest landscapes. Her main goal is to create images that have strong emotional impact. She pulls inspiration from childhood memories, nature, animated films, and classic illustration, and tries to combine character with lighting, strong color direction, and staging to help sell a moment. She spends most of her free time painting, visiting museums, and hiking the amazing parks of southern California.
Why We Love It
“The sibling relationship is really special as Margaret helps her find the confidence to take ownership of her own space—big and little sisters alike will totally recognize this dynamic. And while the animals seem scary to Jojo, they’re never too scary for the reader.” —Alexa P., Editor, on This Is MY Room!
