About The Book
Elliot has had a rough year. His dad died, he had to move across the country, and now he’s about to start high school at LA’s prestigious Saint John the Baptist Academy. He’s quickly taken in by the school’s outcasts: the scholarship kids; the queer kids; and the ones who just don’t really fit in with the glossy trust fund babies. They immediately let him in on their little secret…they are witches.
Elliot joins his new friends in their world among the crystal stores and occult shops of Silver Lake, but just as he feels he has finally found a family with his new coven, a full moon initiation ceremony goes awry and unleashes a demon with a thirst for student and faculty blood, whose gruesome killing spree reveals that forces much bigger and darker than their worst nightmares have had their sights set on Elliot all along…
With the fun and games of playing with crystals and candles over, the coven now realize that magic is powerful, real, and that it might be more dangerous than they’d ever imagined.
Written by Simon Curtis (Boy Robot) and beautifully illustrated by Stephanie Son, The Witches of Silver Lake is a thrilling and engaging fantasy graphic novel about found family and recognizing one's own strength.

Raves and Reviews
“The Witches of Silverlake is subversive, funny, shocking, and witty. It’s a captivating story of friendship and family wrapped in queer magic and terrifying demons. I adored it from start to finish. The only drawback is that I can’t hang out with this fantastic coven in real life.”
–David M. Booher, Writer of Ghostbusters, Dungeons & Dragons, Killer Queens
"The Witches of Silverlake was a cornucopia of my favorite things: queer found family, witches, bad deals, demons, and a splash of dark academia. Son's art is lovely and soft and felt like all of my favorite webcomics. My only disappointment is that there's not a dozen more books to read about this queer coven."
–Mickey George, writer of The Heart Hunter and Speak Easy, Speak Love
"A page-turning, addictive read! I was completely drawn into Elliot's world as he found a beautiful, complicated family in his new high school's coven. Would give this to anyone who loves magic, diverse coming of age stories, and gorgeous art."
–Kelly Zekas, co-writer of Championess and These Vicious Masks
