About The Authors

Author Cassandra Reeder launched her blog, The Geeky Chef, in 2008, turning fictional food and drinks from a vast array of fandoms into reality with simple and fun recipes. Since then, a series of cookbooks based on the trailblazing blog have been published, including The Geeky Chef Cookbook and The Geeky Bartender Drinks. In 2023, she released The Video Game Chef, a nostalgia-filled culinary adventure featuring iconic foods from video games. In 2024, she co-authored Lyrics and Libations: The Ultimate 90s Cocktail Playlist, a spirited tribute to the sweet music of the '90s. When not conjuring up recipes inspired by fiction and pop culture, Cassandra can be found perusing the food carts in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and two tiny agents of chaos.

Joanne Bourne is a writer and prehistorian from Kent in southern England. Her book The Maps Book (Lonely Planet Kids), was shortlisted for the 2024 Edward Stanford Children’s Travel Book of the Year. Her nature memoir Flint: A Lithic Love Letter is published by Eye Books. She is a huge Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon fan and was thrilled to collaborate with Cassandra Reeder on this book.
