About The Author

Malcolm Hopkins is a leading figure in the U.K. upholstery industry who has had a long career in both the manufacturing and contract sectors. Malcolm has produced and repaired furniture for high-end retailers, the Royal Household, and the Houses of Parliament. His commission work has ranged from domestic furniture to luxury yachts. Currently head of the upholstery department at the London Metropolitan University, he is both a teacher and a practicing upholsterer. Malcolm has been recognized for his services to the industry by leading U.K. trade associations, including the Association of Master Upholsterers and the Worshipful Company of Upholders.
