About The Book
The Bins siblings have their sights set on the big pet expo in the heart of downtown Toronto. Dusty, Scraps, and ReRe expect to loot the convention for the latest treats, and they definitely don’t expect to meet…Dusty’s doppelganger?!
Prince the Raccoon is everything Dusty isn’t—famous, pampered, and rich! But Prince wants to know what life is like outside his comfy digs and on the streets. So, with the Bins’ help, Dusty and Prince decide to switch places.
At first, Dusty has a great time living it up, but he soon learns the grass isn’t always greener on the other side…even when that side has all the snacks he can eat!
About The Illustrator
Whitney Gardner is an author, illustrator, and cartoonist. She started drawing stick figures in second grade and somehow no one’s been able to stop her. If there’s ever a moment when she isn’t drawing, she’s likely to be found rolling twenty-sided dice. Her favorite color is yellow. She is the author of the YA novels You’re Welcome, Universe and Chaotic Good, as well as the creator of Fake Blood, Long Distance, and Free Piano (Not Haunted) and the illustrator for Debbie Levy’s Becoming RBG and Stephanie Cooke’s The Racc Pack series.
Why We Love It
“This book is SO FUN! Stephanie Cooke and Whitney Gardner are a powerhouse duo (and passionate raccoon advocates!) who bring to life a hilariously imaginative world that feels just like your favorite children’s animated series. Chock-full of gags and heart, you’ll want to be part of the Bins family at the story’s end, too.”
