Tee Franklin

About The Author

Tee Franklin is a Black, queer, disabled, autistic, award-winning, bestselling comic writer, TV writer, and public speaker from New Jersey. She is the author of BINGO LOVE, currently on its third printing, and HARLEY QUINN: EAT. BANG! KILL TOUR, and she has written for Archie Comics and Marvel Comics. She is the first Black woman to write Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, and the first Black woman to write multiple series with Image Comics. Her stories have also appeared in the New York Times bestselling and Eisner-winning graphic novel LOVE IS LOVE, as well as award-winning anthologies ELEMENTS: FIRE and FEMME MAGNIFIQUE.

Tee does not consider herself to be an activist or an advocate for disabled people; however, she uses her platform to discuss topics that affects her daily life as a Black, queer, disabled woman. She hopes to pave the way for more marginalized creators.

In addition to writing comics, Tee is a screenwriter, domestic violence survivor, and mom of adult children. When she’s not writing (or tweeting), you can find Tee watching anime; enjoying Asian horror movies like Odishon, Battle Royale, and #Alive; or reliving the joy from rewatching The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Justice League Unlimited animated series — especially the episodes featuring Vixen!
