Whitney is a Los Angeles-based journalist with almost three decades of experience, including seven years as the food section editor at the Long Beach Press-Telegram, and seven years as a food columnist for the Southern California News Group. Born in Sweden, she lived in Scotland, Italy, and Mexico before moving to the United States at age fifteen. She fell in love with baking when she got her first Easy-Bake Oven (a red Italian version) at age five. She fell in love with Strawberry Shortcake when she was ten.
